ABOUT STANDARD 2.0

Since 2018, we have been working with cultural and educational projects. More than 400,000 people are now engaged in the events and activities we create and support. Our global goal is to make culture accessible, bringing its contemporary mediums and formats to a broader audience. To achieve this, we work with local communities, leaders of urban change, athletes and activists, develop cross-sector collaboration and international exchange initiatives. We are absolutely certain that this is the basis of any successful project and the key to development and competitiveness of culture both locally and globally without which no society can exist in the world today.

CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT OF TERRITORIES: CULTURAL CENTRES AND COMMUNITY HUBS

Since 2020, we have been actively working on the development of cultural projects in non-central districts of Yekaterinburg. In particular, we create concepts, open venues and programme them.

Examples of this work include the Omega Cinema and Cultural Centre (Uralmash micro-district) and the Zarya Cultural Development Centre (Elmash micro-district), as well as a special film and public events programme for district cinemas of the Premier Zal country-wide cinema network.

Since 2020, there have been film screenings, performances, lectures, master classes, and festivals at the venues. We are running exhibitions of young artists, supporting and developing local initiatives and communities.

We aim to create places of attraction for citizens, create relevant and engaging places in the outskirts of the city, and make non-central locations open and friendly for public.

PROMOTING CONTEMPORARY ART, DEVELOPING AND SUPPORTING EMERGING ARTISTS

Together with the Ural Branch of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (NCCA Yekaterinburg), we are working on an interdisciplinary project called Young Artist's Lab for young and emerging artists of the city and the Urals. The Lab helps to reveal the creative potential of the participants, integrate them into the professional art community and become a launching pad for their career development.

The programme consists of a series of laboratories, covering various mediums of contemporary art.

The aim of the project is to promote the professional growth and visibility of the artists both in the region and beyond.

We want everyone to be able to experience, study, create and collect contemporary art. To this aim, we run the Art to Small Towns programme - travelling exhibitions, lectures, training programmes and related events for various organisations in small towns.

ART IN THE CITY CONTEXT

photo_forum-10.jpg

Together with the developer Atomstroycomplex, we have been running the the CHO public art festival since 2020, which aims not just to decorate, but to build a three-way dialogue between the city, the artist, and the citizens.

The festival not only develops the theme of responsible art that should work with urban environment, improve it and create new ways for residents to interact with it, but also reflects the theme of local identity of Yekaterinburg and the Urals.

All this makes contemporary art more accessible to understand, see and get experience.

The festival includes a cultural and educational programme to raise awareness about public art and street art, a children's art school and community events.

ART FOR RENT

Art for Rent is a rent service for famous and new artists. An art object can be rented for short or long term. The service gives an opportunity to liven up the interiors or make sure the object suits a certain space. Art for Rent helps create a unique environment in corporate or private spaces. All acquired funds go to artists support and realization of new art projects.

CULTURAL ANALYTICS

The project is designed to cover the gap between the interests of the city and business in the design of public spaces. Cultural analytics studies the needs, values and lifestyles of city residents to integrate cultural and art objects as well as new cultural practices into designed or modernised public spaces. Cultural analytics research is the use of quality sociological methods to create a comprehensive portrait of different social groups of city residents and maps of their cultural consumption. The results of the research allow to choose the best options of cultural facilities in the design of the urban environment.
